The system will first be used in models such as the fully electric Volvo EX90, running on Android Automotive OS. Unlike most common voice assistants that can only deal with the most basic tasks, Gemini can process complex queries, provide detailed guidance, and even answer questions like “How do I change a tire?” The AI-based assistant is crafted to make driving safer by reducing outside distractions and minimizing the driver’s need to look at screens or smartphones.
